NEFES plans post, Story and Reels content by combining the restaurant's real venue and product visuals with its brand memory, and manages the approval and publishing workflow. The 21-day framework below is an example for an opening project; it is not a guarantee of opening on a specific day or of visitor numbers.
Which five pieces of information must be accurate before the opening?
The restaurant's official business name, location, actual opening day and time, service type, and the menu offered on the first day must be approved by the business owner or authorized representative. If home delivery, reservations or a specific campaign are not yet confirmed, they are not announced as if they are active.
The business should also designate a “change manager.” If the opening time or menu changes, the pinned Instagram post, bio, QR menu if any, and Google Business Profile must not say different things.
21-day content and operations calendar
| Period | Real topic to show on Instagram | Information verified by the business | Output |
|---|---|---|---|
| 21–18 days before | Signboard, exterior or real preparation | Business name and neighborhood | Introductory first content |
| 17–14 days before | The restaurant's actual seating area | Areas to open for use | Venue Story series |
| 13–10 days before | Real signature product from the first menu | Ingredients, portion and service | Product photo |
| 9–7 days before | Authorized preparation/team video | Real staff member and filming permission | Preparation Reel |
| 6–4 days before | How to get there? | Correct address, map, transport | Location post |
| 3–2 days before | Practical information about the opening | Date, opening hours, table layout | FAQ Story |
| 1 day before | Final current reminder | Is the opening definitely confirmed? | Information check |
| Opening day | Real product, venue and welcome | Are we really open today? | Short live content |
| The following day | Real questions from customers | Changed hours/menu, if any | Correction and new plan |
This is not a production schedule, but a transparent communication and verification calendar. If the restaurant's physical preparation is delayed, the content is also updated to reflect reality.
How is the first Instagram bio written?
At the start, state in the bio what the venue offers, which area it is in, and the real contact route, instead of a long advertising slogan. Add the opening date once it is confirmed.
Educational template:
[Restaurant's real name] · [Neighborhood]
[Real service type or signature product]
Opening: [Opening date confirmed by the business]
Menu and directions: [Current link]
This format is not a real NEFES client or an example success case; blank fields are filled with business data. If the business will open late, the old announcement is not used without changing the date.
What is the purpose of three pinned posts?
First post: Location and opening information. It lets first-time visitors see the correct address and open hours.
Second post: Real menu or signature product. Portion, ingredients and serving must match reality; do not show a product not yet served as part of the first menu.
Third post: Venue and service format. Tables, takeaway, reservations or other facilities are described only if they actually exist. Features such as accessibility or parking are not added on assumption.
15-second edit for the opening Reels
0–3 seconds: The restaurant's real signboard or a short shot from the entrance.
3–7 seconds: A preparation image or a strong frame of the real signature dish.
7–11 seconds: Seating area to open for use and service details.
11–15 seconds: Correct address and confirmed opening time. The same “best restaurant” message is not used for every business.
If there are no real video clips, controlled camera movement may be added to photos. Fake crowds, unfilmed kitchen processes or unreal staff imagery are not presented as if they happened on opening day.
What should be posted if something goes wrong on opening day?
Products not yet served, a wrong location, a delayed opening or changed hours should not be hidden. First the business's correct information is obtained, then the pinned post, Story and link are updated at the same time.
Sample announcement: “Our opening hours have changed. Our current visiting hours are [hours confirmed by the business]. Thank you for your understanding.”
Instead of leaving the change message while the old incorrect announcement stays active, the surfaces customers see most are corrected together.
How will we evaluate the success of the opening?
Reel views, profile visits and map taps are signals of interest. Real table, order and visit results are evaluated only through records the business can verify. It is not accurate to automatically reconcile the total revenue taken at the register on opening day with social media metrics.
NEFES manages together the pre-opening preparation of real photos, brand storytelling, information accuracy, publishing and customer questions. In this way, opening content becomes not only aesthetic, but a body of information that helps the guest make a real visit decision.
Checklist: Is the opening date final? Is the map correct? Are the products on the menu? Has permission been granted for the intended use of the staff image? Are the bio, QR, website and Story information the same?
Adapt this guide to your business
Before announcing the opening date, confirm the address, hours and reservation channel. Use separate texts for the preparation post, the opening announcement and the first service information; if anything changes, update the pinned content as well.
