First find out in which season the hotel offers value
A coastal boutique hotel, a city hotel and a mountain chalet used in winter do not have the same content needs in the same month. The calendar should therefore start with three data points: the hotel's real operating dates, the questions guests ask most, and verifiable occupancy or booking periods from last year, if available.
The seasonal calendar is not meant to generate content for its own sake. If a room is unavailable or a service is closed on that date, marketing visuals must clearly reflect this.
12-month editorial work plan for 2027
| Month | Content focus | Real shooting task | Guest question answered |
|---|---|---|---|
| January | New year, winter experience, season preparation | Real room and common areas in winter | How is the hotel this season? |
| February | Winter holiday, suitable room types and city experience | Real heating and comfort details | Is a winter stay comfortable? |
| March | Transition to spring, surroundings and quiet period | Current outdoor photos | What can I do in this period? |
| April | Spring, walking, gastronomy and surroundings | Real outdoor area or route visual | What are the hotel's surroundings like? |
| May | Season preparation and open services | Room, terrace and breakfast update | Is the facility ready and what is open? |
| June | Summer experience, room types | Real room set in daylight | Which room suits me? |
| July | Guest questions and usage information | Entrance, parking, facility sections | What should I know before arriving? |
| August | Clear information and accuracy during peak periods | Real, current facility status | Where do I find out about prices and what's included? |
| September | Shoulder season, a calm experience | Natural light, garden/terrace | What is the autumn experience like? |
| October | Nature, city, gastronomy, remote work | A real facility corner suited to the topic | Why should I come now? |
| November | Low season and local events | Real services currently available | What is open during this period? |
| December | Year-end and preparation for the next season | Winter atmosphere, the team and a new archive | Is the facility available at year-end? |
This table is a practical editorial preparation framework, not a campaign promise or a forecast of actual demand.
How do you add Ramadan, Eid and school holiday content?
The exact dates of religious holidays and the education calendar must be verified against official sources for the year and publication timing. When preparing content, pay particular attention to Diyanet and MEB announcements. This guide does not provide exact 2027 holiday and midterm break dates whose sources have not been confirmed.
What the hotel actually offers during these periods is a separate matter: iftar arrangements, a change in breakfast hours, family accommodation options, or a facility service that is closing. A relevant guest question is answered with real operational information.
How early should you prepare content?
There is no mandatory timeline for every boutique hotel. A practical workflow is to prepare the necessary photos, accommodation terms and core messages 4–6 weeks before the season begins. Since prices, availability and period restrictions may change, they are verified again close to publication.
Process example: If a fall-season story is being prepared for September, real terrace/room photos from late August may still be current; however, if September operating hours and services have changed, the information card is updated first.
How does the same month work for three different types of boutique hotel?
Coastal hotel: From May to September: the beach, terrace, transportation and the real comfort of the warm season. If the hotel is closed in winter, no winter campaign is invented; instead, the archive and booking availability for the next season is communicated.
City boutique hotel: Year-round questions on transportation, city events, the walkable surroundings and short stays. Event dates and distances are verified.
Rural/mountain boutique hotel: Seasonal conditions, road access, heating, outdoor areas and real views. No false snow depth is shown, and no impression is created that a fireplace is lit on every date.
Content balance for a four-week month
- Week 1: The real features of the rooms and facility; what to know before staying.
- Week 2: The region's real culture, nature or gastronomy; its honest connection to the hotel.
- Week 3: Frequently asked questions from guests, transportation, breakfast and usage information.
- Week 4: Topics learned from real reviews and feedback, and the visual needs for the coming month.
This four-week flow does not have to spread posts evenly across all days. The core test: does each piece of content answer a different guest question?
Campaigns and channel-specific rules
On Instagram, real campaign terms can be clearly presented with the business's approval. However, Google Business Profile hotel posts that include a discount or promotion are subject to specific restrictions. Do not automatically carry the same ad creative across channels; Google hotel post policy should be used as the basis.
What should you review at the end of the month?
Room Reels views, profile/page clicks, message inquiries and bookings the business has actually confirmed are recorded in separate categories. If more room tours are planned for next month, base the decision on unanswered guest questions as well as impression counts.
NEFES turns the boutique hotel's seasons and accurate visuals into a workflow of social content, branded Stories/Reels, approval and measurement.
Adapt this guide to your business
Add the periods when the facility is actually open and the maintenance dates to the calendar first. Before preparing campaign copy, have the room type, included services and booking conditions approved on the same line.
