Short answer

A nail studio’s Instagram content should accurately show real nail designs, a clean workspace, the service process and how to book an appointment. Rather than generating a different artificial image every week, systematically photographing the colors and designs the business actually applies creates a more reliable archive. NEFES combines consented salon photos with brand memory and a regular Reels/Story flow.

Why does a nail studio need its own content plan?

In a haircut video, movement and hair shape are the determining factors, whereas in a nail design close-up texture, color accuracy, hand position and small details should stand out. Rather than repeating the same visual examples by simply swapping the word “hairdresser” for “nail studio”, the production should convey this difference.

First, prepare the real service list: categories such as manicure, nail art and artificial nails can be used if the business actually offers them. For each service, the correct name, approximate application flow and approved booking information are kept.

This table is not a requirement for eight separate daily posts; it shows filming, design and informational tasks that can be spread over four weeks. It is adapted to the salon's real photo quality and service scope.

Six simple decisions for close-up phone filming

1. Lighting: Do not show the same design in different colors by applying heavy warm or cool filters. Prefer natural or balanced, steady light.

2. Background: Keep distracting items out of the frame, such as invoices, personal belongings, IDs or staff documents that could draw attention away from the small design.

3. Sharpness: If focus is lost when the phone zooms in too far, step back slightly and crop appropriately.

4. Hand position: If a real customer's hand is visible, check your rights and permission for promotional use.

5. Result: Do not artificially alter nail length, skin appearance or the actual quality of the design with digital tools.

6. File record: Record the design name, actual color, date and usage rights in the archive.

12-second short edit for nail art Reels

0–3 seconds: The design's actual final frame or a permitted working moment.

3–7 seconds: A detail of the real material, color chart or process.

7–10 seconds: A second real angle and a small texture detail of the design.

10–12 seconds: Studio logo, the correct service name and appointment contact details.

If a short video is made from photos, do not present it as a real recorded procedure video. If the application sequence comes from a different client's work, do not create the impression that it is the process of a single design.

How do you organize booking questions?

A question about color or design can be answered with a general information card. However, specific open dates, individual application conditions, exact prices and complaints about previous services must be verified by a responsible person.

DM example: “Hello, you are welcome to send us the image of the design you are interested in and the day that suits you. Our authorized staff will check current appointment availability and service scope and get back to you.”

Do not ask for a customer's private health information, personal documents or phone number in public comments.

Separate medical services from cosmetic services

Everyday nail art and nail care content is not treated the same as healthcare advertising. Instead of making claims about diseases, treatments or guaranteed results, describe the cosmetic services the salon actually offers. Proper usage rights for real customer photos remain important regardless of this distinction.

How is success measured?

Photo saves, Reels reach and incoming design questions show content interest. They are not confirmed appointments or salon revenue. Appointment and completed service counts are reported only when they can be separately verified from the salon's actual records.

NEFES manages a nail studio's real design archive, brand voice, content plan and approved DM replies together. This creates a consistent visual story without chasing individual viral designs one at a time.

START IMPLEMENTING

Adapt this guide to your business

Photograph the color chart and the finished design under the same lighting. In the caption, keep the design name separate from the booking route; do not present additional services that aren't visible in the image as if they are automatically included.
